2012 Century Game

28 & 29 January 2012, Mt Albert Park, Newtown, Wellington

This is a two part hat tournament where you sign up as an individual.  Saturday is the Century game, Sunday is Double Disc Court (DDC).  More detail about each is below.  You can register for one or both days - both is highly recommended, not even just because you get a discount!

Saturday: The Century Game

One ultimate game to 100 points played by two massive hat teams, Good vs Evil. Evil won the first year, Good won the second, Evil won the third... will Evil continue its reign of darkness or can Good prevail?

The game will go all day, non-stop with about 30 players on each team who sub on and off throughout the day.
On the sideline we have a bbq going from 12ish, and delicious golden liquid will start flowing at a respectable hour. Random disc and drinking games will keep you amused when you're taking a break from the Century Game, along with your usual heckling. After the Century Game pizza will be served and the party will continue at the field and in the club rooms nearby. The theme for this years party is Rumble in the Jungle, so start planning your outfits...

Accomm:  

Bring a tent and pitch it on the outskirts of the field, or bring a sleeping bag and mat for crashing on the floor of the club rooms.  Or have a quick taxi ride to Courtenay Place, or walk to a nearby hostel (YHA Wellington dorm beds around $31 per night or Base Backpackers dorm beds around $27 per night).

Sunday: DDC Tourney

If you don’t know what DDC is – you’re missing out! Go to: http://www.doubledisccourt.com/ to read more about it. Players organise themselves into teams of two and we’ll start the tourney around 11am… bbq will be available for lunch and we should be finished by 5pm or earlier.

Registration is only complete when you have filled in the survey and paid the fee. Register before the price goes up and we order the t-shirts on 12th January...

Cost: 

• The Whole Shebang: $65 if paid before 12th January, goes up to $75 after.This includes both days of disc fun, plus all you can eat bbq lunches and pizza dinner; all you can drink of the 'good stuff'; an awesome tournament shirt and party. After the 12th January we cannot gurantee that you will get a t-shirt, or that it will fit well.
• Saturday only (includes food, drink and shirt): $50 before 12 January, $60 after. After 12 Jauary we cannot guarantee that you will get a t-shirt or that it will fit well.
• Sunday only (includes bbq): $30 before 12 January, $40 after
