11Q3 Leagues - Registration Open
Registration is now open for all 11Q3 winter leagues. Registrations will close on Sunday 5 June at noon.
Registrations for this league will be done on a lottery basis. If there more teams wishing to enter a league than there are space for teams, then teams will be selected at random. Please note the Leagues Coordinator reserves the right to deny entry to teams, after consultation with the leagues committee, if a team is thought to be too strong or too weak for the grade they are entering. Any team with outstanding fees from the current league (11Q2) will not be permitted to enter. If a number of players on a team are on the roster for a team that currently has outstanding fees, then that team will not be permitted to enter.
To Register for the league you MUST have a team created on the website and there must be players on that team. Once the 11Q3 league has started the roster on the website will be considered the team roster. However, as there are teams that will play in both seasons, under the same name, but may have different rosters for each season, please fill out the roster form for each team you wish to register and email it to Alaina O'Byrne at wgtn.ultimateleagues@gmail.com. Do not pay for 11Q3 leagues at this time. Once registration has closed and teams are confirmed I will send an invoice to the person is listed as the manager on the roster form for each team. Please pay WDS at that time according to the directions included in that email. Fees will be due on 8 July, 2011. Any fees paid after this date will incur a late fee of an additional $50.
The information for each league:
A Grade
* Sundays 5pm to 9pm, 10 July to 9 October (inclusive), no games on the weekend of Indoor Nats
* Venue: Tawa Rec Centre (New Gym)
* Fee: $400 per team if paid by 8 July, $450 per team after 8 July
* Capacity: 10 teams
B Grade – Karori and Southwest Stadium
* Wednesdays 6:15pm to 10pm, 13 July to 12 October (inclusive)
* Venue: Karori Rec Centre and Southwest Stadium
* Gender restrictions: Minimum 1 woman on court at all times. Defence must match to two women on court. If teams are unable to match they must play a man down.
* Max 2 A list players per team on the court at a time.
* Capacity: 14 teams
* Fee: $400 per team if paid by 8 July, $450 per team after 8 July.
* Note: There will likely be byes and double headers
B Grade – Karori and Tawa
* Tuesdays 6:15pm to 10pm, 12 July to 11 October (inclusive)
* Venue: Karori Rec Centre and Tawa Rec Centre
* Gender restrictions: Minimum 1 woman on court at all times. Defence must match to two women on court. If teams are unable to match they must play a man down.
* Max 2 A list players per team on the court at a time.
* Capacity: This league and the C Grade league on the same night will both run across Karori and Tawa, Capacity is 16 teams for both leagues combined. The number of teams in each league will depend on registrations
* Fee: $400 per team if paid by 8 July, $450 per team after 8 July.
C Grade - Karori/Tawa
* Tuesdays 6:15pm to 10pm, 12 July to 11 October (inclusive)
* Venue: Karori Rec Centre and Tawa Rec Centre
* Gender restrictions: Minimum 1 woman on court at all times. Defence must match to two women on court. If teams are unable to match they must play one played short.
* Max 1 A list player per team on the court at a time.
* Capacity: This league and the B Grade league on the same night will both run across Karori and Tawa, Capacity is 16 teams for both leagues combined. The number of teams in each league will depend on registrations. The Leagues Coordinator reserves the right to redistribute teams from C Grade to B Grade.
* Fee: $400 per team if paid by 8 July, $450 per team after 8 July.
* Please note: This grade is our development grade, and is therefore aimed at new and developing players. Established players should feel free to be involved with the teams to guide and mentor the team, but the majority of the team must be new or developing players. If you can throw forehand, backhand, and hammer well, can catch the disk 90% of the time, and can cut into space you are not a developing player.
Games for A Grade will be canceled for events such as Indoor nationals.
