Call for Applications: Schools Programme Administrator 2011-2012
This is a paid part-time role from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012. Although we will consider applications for a shorter term.
Remuneration is yet to be determined (awaiting budget finalisation) but it will likely be around $300 per month.
The purpose of the role is to implement Wellington Disc Sports’ vision for growth of secondary school ultimate in the wider region.
While WDS has some key objectives it needs to meet, there will be plenty of scope for the successful applicant to make the role their own and make a real impact in the development of ultimate in Wellington.
The key objectives are:
- Securing ongoing funding for the programme
- Finding suitable people to adopt/coach a school
- Arranging for experienced ultimate coaches to teach in P.E. classes
- Establishing competitive inter-school leagues in each term
- Running a national-level outdoor tournament at the end of Term 1, 2012
It would most likely suit someone with hours that are flexible enough that they can travel to schools every now and then and meet with people as needed.
